Do I Need a Referral?
No referrals necessary! Premier Clinics has primary care practitioners on staff, so we do not require a referral from your family doctor.

What should I expect at my first appointment?
At Premier Footworks, we strive to insure that we provide the highest quality of foot care to all of our patients. During your first visit, we will ask you to complete a patient history/intake/insurance information form (see above link). We will review your through medical history with you and depending upon your history, we may perform the following exams: neurological, vascular, dermatological, biomechanical and gait analysis.
You may ask why we require so much information when you are coming in for your feet, orthotics, etc? The answer is that at the Premier Clinics, we provide comprehensive treatment and the medication you are on or your medical conditions, help our staff determine the right treatment plan for you.
What should I bring at my first appointment?
- Bring a list of all of your current medications
- Bring your current footwear
- Referral from your physician/specialist if you have one
- Please remove your nail polish
- Please bring any foot related reports or applicable test results related to your condition from your physician
What is a Chiropodist?
A Chiropodist is a regulated primary health care provider who provides assessment, treatment and prevention of diseases, disorders or dysfunction of the foot and lower leg by therapeutic, surgical, corrective, orthopedic or palliative means.
Chiropodists are authorized to:
Cut into subcutaneous tissues of the foot
Prescribe designated drugs
Administer by injection into the foot; a designated substance
How do I pay and what do I pay for?
Prior to attending your first appointment, you should contact your third party health insurance and inquire about your policy specifics of;
Footwear-Orthopedic – Footwear may be covered under your third party health insurance. How much are you covered for? Is it off-the-shelf or custom-made?
Braces – How much are you covered for? Who can prescribe it? Are there specifics to the coverage?
Laser Treatment – May not be covered by health insurance and can be discussed at your first appointment.
Premier clinics accepts Cash, Visa, Mastercard, and Debit. Sorry no personal cheques.
Most third party insurance companies, Veteran¹s Affairs, NIHB, WSIB may help cover your visit costs as OHIP does not cover your visits. Our staff will gladly help you with your insurance questions as needed.
Our fees are determined by the Ontario Society of Chiropodists and Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine.
Payment is due when service is rendered or products are dispensed.
